If you haven’t heard of this band yet, do yourself a favor and listen. Outshyne recently released their second album “Starting Over” and the first single off of this CD is “Moonlight Crush.” All you really need to do is turn on Pandora and listen to the Today’s Country Radio Station and wait. This song has been getting a pretty heavy rotation, and for good reason. You just cant help but like it. The vocals are strong, the lyrics play out a scene in your head, and instantly you find yourself singing along even though you don’t know all the words yet. Oh yeah, we knew we wanted more. And more we got. We downloaded “Starting Over” and also their first CD “Country Boy in Me” and did our research. Here’s what the team had to say:

P: Their first album “Country Boy in Me” was a great album with a good country sound. I really enjoyed “Make it big.” Coming from a small town, it’s basically that anthem song about growing up and finding the girl of your dreams. On their second album, “Starting Over” you can hear all of the improvements. It was produced by Jeffrey Steele and Chip Matthews who brought their magic to it. “Moonlight Crush” is the song getting the most airplay right now on Sirius XM Radio and Pandora. Outshyne’s fans seem to be requesting the hell out of it, as they should. It’s that feeling you get when you first see her put to words. With all of their hard work, I have no doubt things will pay off for them. Outshyne has shared the stage with some amazing talent such as Gary Allen, Joe Nichols, Justin Moore, Tracy Lawrence, Colt Ford, Lee Brice and Eric Church to name just a few. I’m looking forward to seeing them on the road and hearing them live.

K: I love this band. I first heard “Moonlight Crush” on Pandora, and then added them on twitter. They just have a great vibe overall. Image wise, they seem to have their style down. A little country, mixed with southern rock and attitude. Their first CD definitely more of a straight country sound. Every photo on their webpage looks like a mix of trouble and good times. I would safely say that after listening to their entire album, I’ve moved on past the “Moonlight Crush” and have a full on “Dirt Road Romance” with their music. Every song on their CD is great, and they definitely have talent and marketability. Their songs are a mix of just enough rock, but still sound country. I cant wait to see them when they come out west, as I know it’s just a matter of time.

B: Okay, Okay. More country music. Imagine my surprise when I actually like another group. The guys at Outshyne make country sound good. Not only are their lyrics well written, and catchy – they are mainstream, yet rebellious. A great mix of rock and country. Plus, I am all about image. As a country singer, or a musician in general, you need to know what your image is. And once you know what it is, you need to own it. I think that Outshyne is doing just that. If you think about any famous musician of any genre, they have a unique and signature style. Outshyne has found theirs. Plus, the fact that they have a ginger (redhead) in the group is pretty cool. Great job guys!
